Regulated by RICS

What "Regulated by RICS" means for you

TIDMANS is a trading name of Tidman&Co Limited, a firm regulated by RICS (the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors). This means we agree to uphold the RICS Rules of Conduct and all other applicable mandatory professional practice requirements of RICS, which can be found at www.rics.org. Independent dispute resolution: the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). Tidmans is a member of the Property Redress Scheme (PRS058582).

We do not hold client money.

You can also raise concerns about a regulated firm directly with RICS. Read RICS's own guide: Look for "RICS Regulated".

Questions people ask

Is a RICS valuation the same as a market appraisal?

No. A RICS valuation is a formal written report for a specific purpose. A market appraisal is advice on asking price and selling strategy.

Do you still do Help to Buy valuations?

The Help to Buy equity loan scheme has closed to new applicants, but homeowners with an existing equity loan still need a RICS valuation to redeem it or sell. We can help with that.

Who carries out the valuation?

Valuations are carried out by an RICS Registered Valuer.

How do I request a valuation?

Use the Request a valuation button on this page. Quotes and bookings are handled online through Survey Booker, the same system we use for surveys.
